1.Student Member: Membership Fee: Free Admission Fee: Rs.200
A student undergoing a course of study (post graduate / undergraduate degree or diploma holders only) in Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects from a recognized institution. After completion of the degree, the student membership may be upgraded as annual / life member.

 

This category of membership shall have the prefix ‘STM’ with the membership number. Student Member will register as group registration (minimum 100 students) through institution only. At any time, Individual registration of the student membership is not considered by the Association.

2. Annual Member: Membership Fee: Rs.600 Admission Fee: Rs.200
Ph.D. Scholar/ Post Graduate Student/ Undergraduate degree/ Diploma holder in Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects from a recognised institution, contributing towards objectives of the Association may be enrolled as Annual member by paying admission and annual membership fee in the prescribed format from time to time. Any Individual students can register their
name as Annual Member. Subsequently, the year-end members can be renewal their membership. This category of membership shall have the prefix ‘ANM’ with the membership number. Annual Members could be participating the Conferences / Seminars organized by the association body with minimum of cost.

 

3. Life Member: Membership Fee: Rs.5000 Admission Fee: Rs.200
Undergraduate and above Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects from a recognized institution, contributing towards objectives of the Association shall be enrolled as Life Member by paying one-time fee as prescribed from time to time. Life Membership registration is valid for 15 years. This category of membership shall have the prefix ‘LIM’ with the membership number. A Life Member will hold the different titles / positions / designations in Chapter, State and National Governing Bodies. Life Members could be participating the Conferences / Seminars organized by the association body with minimum of cost. Life Members only eligible for availing the awards issued by the association in International Conferences / National Seminars.

4. Patron Member: Membership Fee: Rs.50,000 Admission Fee: Rs.200
Association Endowments and Awards are instituted with the Rs.50,000/- as voluntary donation of willing personalities from Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects registered as Patron Membership in the association. Patron Membership registration is valid for 15 years. This category of membership shall have the prefix ‘PAM’ with the membership number. The privilege of the patron member is to suggest the name of the award and Endowments for achievers. A Patron Member will occupy the honorary positions in different titles / designations in Chapters, State and National Governing Bodies.

5. Institutional Member: Membership Fee: Rs.50,000 Admission Fee: Rs.200
An Institution engaged in award of Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects degree/diploma and/ or training/ research/ extension activity related to Agricultural Sciences and Allied Subjects/ Biological Sciences / Technology is eligible for Institutional Membership by paying Rs.50,000/- as membership fee. Institutional Membership registration is valid for 15 years. This category of membership shall have the prefix ‘INM’ with the membership number. One award will be issued in the name of institutional member in the event of conferences and seminars organized by the association.

6. Corporate Member/ Industry Member: Membership Fee: Rs.50,000 Admission Fee: Rs.200
A registered Company/ Corporate/ Industry is pursuing Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects activities are eligible for Corporate Membership/ Industry Membership by paying Rs.50,000/- as membership fee. Corporate / Industry Membership registration is valid for 10 years. This category of membership shall have the prefix ‘COM’ with the membership number. One award will be issued in the name of corporate / industry’s membership in the event of conferences and seminars organized by the association.

7.Fellow (FRAAST) & Associate Fellow (AFRAAST) Membership
To recognize the performance of contributors and achievers, Western Ghat Researcher Association of Agricultural Sciences and Technology confers the honor of Fellow/Associate Fellow of Researcher Association of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FRAAST/ AFRAAST) to its life members/ Patron member. The Association will receive nominations periodically and award the honor Fellow or Associate Fellow to its Life member /Patron Member and verify the nominations with support of expert members in the area of Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Rural Development Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Bioinformatics, Agriculture Information Technology and Engineering & Technology allied with Agriculture or related subjects. Further their contributions are evaluated based on betterment and welfare of the nation. Eligibility and Credentials for the Fellow Membership All the Life Members/ Patron Members, age of 50 and who have completed 25 years of glorious service at the time of notification of the Fellow Award, are eligible for the nomination. Eligibility and Credentials for the Associate Fellow Membership All the Life Members/ Patron Members, age of 40 and who have completed 12 years of glorious service at the time of notification of the Associate Fellow Award, are eligible for the nomination.
